“Our ultimate goal is to bring the home and the church together in a biblical partnership to raise up a generation that loves God and loves others…our goal is discipleship through partnership.” ~ Jay Strother
GYM (Grace Youth Ministry) exists to support families as we strive together as a church family to challenge students (Grades 7-12) to trust and treasure Jesus Christ for the good of their world and the glory of God.
We want everything we are and everything we do to be about Jesus. Everything He was and did communicated who God is and what He’s about. When we turn away from our sin and self-centeredness and trust and treasure Jesus Christ, God gives us peace, joy, passion, and fulfillment. We want to be a community of people that encourages and inspires one another in this journey of learning who God is, who He created us to be, and how He created us to live.
No matter where you are in your journey, we hope that you will find the GYM to be a place where you are accepted, challenged, inspired, forgiven, and loved. We are a community who have our victories and defeats, who doubt and hurt, just as much as anyone else. But we follow a God who forgives, heals, accepts, and loves us. He proved it by sending Jesus to die for us.
There are four main components of GYM:
Teaching is offered through Bible Hour on Sunday mornings @ 10:00 am.
Middle School ~ Intelligent Design (Rm 106)
High School ~ The Book of Revelation (RM 111)
Weekly small groups (Guys and Gals meet separately) meet to nurture fellowship, foster discipleship, and encourage accountability.
Guys ~ Sundays from 3:30 – 5:30 pm
Gals ~ Thursdays from 6:30 – 8:00pm
Each month students and their families gather together…or huddles. These fellowship opportunities take many forms as we gather to have fun, serve, and share Jesus with others. Past Huddles include bowling, Christmas caroling, foot golf, a Royals game, ice skating, and evangelistic outreach. Please contact us for information for the next event.
Part of following Jesus is serving and loving others. Our students are a very active group, serving weekly in the church. Examples include Worship Team and AWANA.
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:13-16 ESV)
We would love to hear from you!! Please let us know if you have any questions.
